Sarah Casiano-Diffoot graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. After working in social work with Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC) victims, Sarah returned to school and received a Masters in Clinical Counseling at the Townsend Institute at Concordia University – Irvine.

Though she works with a variety of people and situations, her passion is helping those who suffer from abuse, depression, anxiety, and trauma. Sarah operates from a client-centered integrated approach. She believes that the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important and healing aspects of therapy.

Sarah uses a variety of integrative therapeutic approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy techniques, strengths-based therapy, inner healing, parts work and EMDR therapy.

Sarah is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy. EMDR therapy is a helpful treatment for disorders such as anxiety, depression, OCD, and other distressing life experiences.

Parts work therapy is a therapeutic approach that views the mind as comprised of different "parts" or sub-personalities. These parts can have conflicting thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and the goal of parts work is to understand and integrate each part to the whole.

Sarah loves to offers Christian Counseling to those seeking it, which combines biblical truth with professional guidance to help individuals find healing, hope, and spiritual growth. She has a heart for those trying to untangle the effects of spiritual abuse in the church from their walk with Jesus.

Sarah is trained in prayer ministry- a Holy Spirit-guided conversation that probes the past in order to understand the pain of the present. It looks into a situation, seeking to uncover ongoing patterns in order to resolve the root cause.
